1. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply throughout this document:

  • "Agreement" means these Terms and Conditions, together with any service intake form or written quotation accepted by the Client.
  • "Service" refers to watch repair, mechanical movement restoration, crystal replacement, case polishing, pocket watch servicing, and any related horological work carried out by Suvarna Horology.
  • "Client" or "User" means any individual or entity that engages with this website, submits an enquiry, or delivers a timepiece to the workshop for servicing.
  • "We", "Us", "Our" refers to Suvarna Horology, operating from 142/15 Sukhumvit Road, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110, Thailand.
  • "Content" means all text, images, logos, and materials published on this website.
  • "Timepiece" means any watch, pocket watch, or clock accepted by the workshop for service work.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website, submitting a service enquiry, or delivering a timepiece to our workshop, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from using our services or website.

You confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement. Where a timepiece belongs to a third party, you confirm that you are authorised to act on their behalf in commissioning work on that item.

These Terms and Conditions apply to all service interactions, including enquiries submitted through this website, telephone consultations, and direct workshop visits.

3. Service Description

Suvarna Horology offers watch repair and restoration services from our workshop at 142/15 Sukhumvit Road, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110, Thailand. Our current service range includes:

  • Mechanical movement restoration for vintage and contemporary wristwatches
  • Crystal replacement and case polishing for sapphire, mineral, and acrylic crystals
  • Antique pocket watch and early wristwatch servicing, including custom-fabricated components where required

All services are carried out in our Bangkok workshop by qualified watchmakers. We accept timepieces for service by appointment or walk-in during working hours. Remote collection arrangements may be discussed on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to decline a service request where the required work falls outside our current capabilities or where the condition of a timepiece presents unacceptable risk.

4. Client Responsibilities

As a client of Suvarna Horology, you agree to the following responsibilities:

4.1 Accurate Information

You will provide accurate and complete information regarding your timepiece, including its make, model, known history, and the nature of any fault or concern. Inaccurate information may affect the quality of service or result in additional charges if unexpected complications arise.

4.2 Ownership and Authorisation

You confirm that you are the legal owner of the timepiece, or that you have explicit authorisation to submit it for service on the owner's behalf. We reserve the right to request proof of ownership at our discretion.

4.3 Timely Collection

Once your timepiece has been serviced and you have been notified, we ask that you arrange collection within 30 calendar days. Uncollected items after 90 days, despite reasonable attempts to contact you, may be subject to a storage fee or, in exceptional circumstances, further action under Thai law.

4.4 Acceptable Conduct

You agree to communicate with our staff in a respectful and professional manner. We do not tolerate abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behaviour and reserve the right to decline or discontinue service in such circumstances.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, graphic elements, and brand materials — is the property of Suvarna Horology or is used with appropriate permission. Nothing on this site should be construed as granting any licence or right to use our intellectual property without our prior written consent.

You may browse this website for personal, non-commercial purposes. Reproduction, redistribution, or adaptation of any content from this site for commercial use is not permitted without our express approval.

Photographic documentation produced by our workshop during service work — where taken for client records — remains the property of Suvarna Horology unless explicitly transferred in writing. Copies may be shared with the client upon request.

6. Payment Terms

6.1 Quotations

All quoted prices are provided in Thai Baht (THB) and are estimates based on the information available at the time of assessment. Final pricing may vary if additional work is required, discovered during disassembly, or agreed separately. We will consult with you before proceeding with any work that falls materially outside the original scope.

6.2 Accepted Payment Methods

Payment is accepted via cash (THB), Thai bank transfer, and major credit and debit cards. Payment details will be confirmed at the workshop at the time of collection.

6.3 Deposit

For higher-value or complex work, we may request a deposit of up to 50% of the estimated total before work commences. This will be communicated at intake and confirmed in writing.

6.4 Cancellation and Service Withdrawal

If you choose to withdraw your timepiece before service work has commenced, no fee applies. If work has already begun, reasonable charges for labour and parts already invested may apply. We will provide a clear breakdown upon request.

6.5 Six-Month Service Warranty

Mechanical movement restorations include a six-month service warranty against workmanship defects. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from impact, water ingress beyond tested resistance levels, misuse, or third-party interference after collection. Warranty claims should be directed to [email protected].

7. Service-Specific Terms

7.1 Turnaround Times

Estimated turnaround times are provided as a guide and are not contractually binding. Mechanical movement restorations typically require four to six weeks. Pocket watch and antique work varies significantly depending on complexity and the availability of components. We will keep you informed of any changes to the expected timeline.

7.2 Pre-Work Consultation for Antique Pieces

For antique or historically significant timepieces, we will consult with you in writing before undertaking any work that is irreversible — such as dial cleaning or component replacement. No such work will proceed without your explicit agreement.

7.3 Custom-Fabricated Parts

Where standard replacement components are unavailable and custom fabrication is required, we will inform you of the associated costs and lead times before proceeding. Fabricated parts become the property of the client upon full payment.

7.4 Condition Reports

A written condition report is included with mechanical movement restorations. This report documents the state of the movement before and after service. Photographic documentation is provided for antique pocket watch work.

8. Disclaimers

All services are carried out to the best of our professional ability using appropriate tools, materials, and techniques. However, we do not make any assurances regarding the long-term performance of any timepiece after service, as factors outside our control — including the condition of original components, subsequent handling, and environmental exposure — inevitably affect longevity.

Content on this website is provided for informational purposes. It does not constitute professional advice tailored to any individual situation. We recommend contacting us directly with questions specific to your timepiece.

We are not responsible for any third-party websites linked from this site. Their inclusion does not imply endorsement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under Thai law, Suvarna Horology's liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client for the specific service in question.

We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including but not limited to loss of sentimental value, loss of use, or any financial loss arising from a delay or interruption in service, except where such loss is caused by our own negligence or misconduct.

In the rare event of accidental damage occurring in the workshop, we will notify you promptly and discuss appropriate remedies. Our liability in such instances will be assessed fairly and proportionately.

We are not liable for delays or service interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including supply chain disruption, natural events, regulatory changes, or similar force majeure conditions.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Suvarna Horology and its staff against any claims, losses, or expenses — including reasonable legal costs — arising from your breach of these Terms and Conditions, your provision of inaccurate information, or your submission of a timepiece to which you do not have legitimate title.

11. Termination

Either party may end the service relationship at any time, subject to the payment of any outstanding fees for work already completed. We reserve the right to decline or discontinue services without explanation in cases of misconduct, dishonesty, or where our professional judgement suggests that proceeding would not be appropriate.

Provisions relating to payment, intellectual property, liability, and dispute resolution shall survive the termination of any service arrangement between the parties.

12. Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising from or relating to our services shall first be pursued through direct, good-faith communication between the parties. We encourage clients to contact us at [email protected] to discuss any concern before escalating further.

If a resolution cannot be reached through direct discussion, disputes may be referred to mediation under Thai civil procedure. The courts of Bangkok shall have jurisdiction over any matter that proceeds to formal legal proceedings.

13. General Provisions

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with any written service quotation or intake form, constitute the full agreement between us in respect of the services described.
  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision shall be adjusted to the minimum extent necessary, and the remainder of the Terms shall continue in full force.
  • Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision on a given occasion does not constitute a permanent waiver of that provision.
  • Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our obligations where appropriate, for example in the event of a change in workshop management.
  • Notice: Any formal notices should be sent by email to [email protected] or by post to our workshop address.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions periodically to reflect changes in our practices, services, or applicable regulations. When we do, the revised date at the top of this page will be updated. We recommend reviewing this page from time to time, particularly before engaging us for a new service.

Continued use of our website or services following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
