1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites function correctly, to remember your preferences, and to provide information that helps site owners understand how their content is being used.
Cookies are not programmes and cannot access other files on your device. They contain only the data that was placed there by the website — either during your current visit (session cookies) or across multiple visits (persistent cookies).
This policy explains which cookies we use on the Suvarna Horology website and how you can control them.
2. Cookie Types We Use
Essential Cookies
Always activeThese cookies are required for the website to function and cannot be disabled. They include session management tokens and security measures that allow the site to operate safely.
Examples: Session identifiers, cookie consent preference storage.
Duration: Session (deleted when browser closes)
Analytics Cookies
OptionalThese cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website. The data is anonymous and used only to improve the site's content and usability.
Examples: Page views, time on page, browser type, traffic source. Provided by Google Analytics.
Duration: Up to 2 years (persistent)
Marketing Cookies
OptionalThese cookies are used to show relevant content or measure the effectiveness of advertising. They may be set by third-party advertising platforms we work with.
Examples: Ad click tracking, conversion measurement, audience categorisation.
Duration: Up to 1 year (persistent)
Preference Cookies
OptionalThese cookies remember choices you have made on previous visits, such as language selection or display settings, so you do not need to repeat them each time.
Examples: Language preference, region setting, display mode.
Duration: Up to 12 months (persistent)
3. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies on this site are placed by third-party services. These services have their own privacy policies and cookie practices, which are independent of ours. Third parties that may set cookies on our site include:
- Google Analytics — traffic analysis and usage statistics. Google Privacy Policy
- Google Maps — embedded location map on our homepage. May set its own cookies when loaded.
You can learn more about how these providers use cookies by visiting their respective privacy pages. We do not sell data collected through third-party cookies and have no control over how third parties use the information they collect.
4. Cookie Duration
Cookies fall into two broad categories based on how long they remain on your device:
- Session cookies exist only for the duration of your current browser session. They are deleted automatically when you close your browser tab or window.
- Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period — typically between 30 days and 2 years — or until you clear them manually. They help services like analytics track returning visitors over time.
Our essential cookies are primarily session-based. Optional analytics and marketing cookies may persist for up to two years, as detailed in the cookie type descriptions above.
